Theresia Aranowski (Soprano)

Born in Bensheim, Germany, she began her musical studies at the age of five. After graduating highschool she received her diploma and started her first singing lessons. She attended the University “Orff-Institut”, Salzburg, where she studied music and dance pedagogics. She continued her singing education at the famous University “Mozarteum”, Salzburg, Austria with Norbert Prasser. Upon completing her studies she was awarded her diploma with distinctions. Her experiences, to include attending classes with Kurt Widmer, Thomas Hampson, Edith Mathis, Marjana Lipovšek, Christa Ludwig and Barbara Bonney increased her knowledge and proficiency. Further important accomplishments she received when she obtained singing lessons lasting for years with Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna.  (Ruthilde Boesch  has made a name for herself by influencing the education of many great singers, e. g. Edita Gruberova.) Theresia Aranowski has appeared in public as a singer of oratorios, concerts and songs. She has acquired a widespread repertoire of several different music trends and styles, from the early Scarlatti to the orchestral songs of Richard Strauss, especially the great works of sacred music.
